Claire has a BA Honours Double Major in Theatre and French Studies from York University, where she studied in the Creative Ensemble stream. Peter Church

Peter is very happy to be returning for his sixth year with the Classical Theatre Project. After graduating from the theatre program at Mount Royal University in Calgary, he relocated to Toronto where he has been acting in Film and Theatre since 2001. As an educator and acting coach, Peter co-founded Larkspur Farm Theatre Camp with Heath and Dan Needles and has nine years of professional teaching experience in schools, theatres, and churches across the province. He lives happily with his wife and a sleeveful of pet rats and, in his spare time, writes and produces radio play pastiches that gently satirize the broadcasts of the 30's, 40's, and 50's.

Marie Jones

Marie is an actor, director and musician hailing from Sangudo, Alberta. Marie often lends her voice to Radio's Revenge and is a founding member of Toronto's That Choir. In Romeo and Juliet, you'll hear Marie's Leblanc Classic II Clarinet, which is two years wiser than she.

Jeffrey Simlett

Jeffrey is an actor, educator and voice/speech coach who holds an MFA from York University. He has been a company member with Classical Theatre Project since 2006. He works in film, tv and theatre coaching; notable projects include the film adaptation of The Stone Angel, and the feature film Traitor. He has taught at York University, at Towson University in Baltimore, and also spent two years as an associate faculty member at the Canadian National Voice Intensive in Vancouver. He recently had the privilege of performing with Italy's Compagnia Pippo Delbono in the internationally acclaimed piece Questo Buio Feroce at Toronto's World Stage Festival. Jeffrey is Director of Education for the Classical Theatre Project, and has been core faculty at Northwestern University's National High School Institute in Chicago since 2001.

Philip is excited to be working with such an awesome group of people and honoured to have the privilege to work on these legendary shows. Philip grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan but came to Toronto for school. He was trained in Sheridan/U of T Mississauga for Acting. He had the chance to work with many classical texts in that time. Outside of school he also loved doing musical theatre and grew up singing whether it was in choirs or just making something up. He is also very friendly come and say hi.

<Tanya fell in love with Hamlet in the summer of 1999 and has been involved with acting, writing and producing theatre ever since. Tanya is a graduate of the BBA program at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her selected marketing and business development credits include roles at Grey Worldwide, Research in Motion, and Coca-Cola.

Shayna graduated from York University in Honours Fine Arts and Cultural Studies in 2008. She didn't want to write a bio, which is fine because it allows us to say we didn't know how this season could happen without her! Little known fact: Shayna knows every secondary school teacher in Ontario by name.
Nava Lightstone
Classical Theatre Project: Head of Box Office and Finance (2008- present), Box Office Representative (2007-2008).
Nava holds a degree in Music from the University of Ottawa where she was extremely active in both the musical and broader artistic community. After performing and working administratively for Opera Lyra Ottawa for four years, she is happy now to be working with Classical Theatre Project! After office hours, Nava teaches music and continues to perform with various ensembles around the Toronto area.
Peter McHugh
Classical Theatre Project: Marketing and Publicity Intern (2010-2011)
Peter joins CTP this year as the Marketing and Publicity Intern. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta, majoring in Film Studies with a minor in French Language and Literature. While completing his degree, he also obtained a Certificate in Translation Studies in French. Peter recently completed the Public Relations Diploma program at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta.
Peter first experienced Shakespeare in grade six when he chose to write a book report on a comic book version of Macbeth. His passion for theatre continued to grow, inspiring him to act in productions for the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton and in a bilingual play for the University of Alberta's centenary celebration.

David Galpern
David has worked extensively in the entertainment industry as a producer, writer, actor, Artistic Director, fundraiser, and board member of both commercial and non-profit theatre companies. Together with Charles Roy, David founded the Classical Theatre Project in 2001, which has played to more than half a million students in Ontario alone. In 2010, David produced his first international touring show, with CTP's Romeo & Juliet, which has set the stage for a US national tour in 2011-2012.
David has over 40 productions and multiple Dora Award nominations to his credit. In 2009, he and Charles Roy founded the Delphi Project, a multi-platform media company that has films, TV shows, graphic novels, mobile apps, and video games in various stages of production and development.
In 2005, David founded the Toronto Youth Theatre, a registered charity that gives young people of all backgrounds the opportunity to work and perform in a professional theatre environment. He continues to serve on its Board of Directors.
David graduated from McGill University and studied at the British American Drama Academy at Balliol College, Oxford.
Charles Roy
Charles is a director, writer, producer and composer who, with David Galpern, founded and currently directs and produces the majority of the plays for the Classical Theatre Project. Through CTP, Charles' productions have garnered Dora nominations, a US Tour, and an audience of over 60,000 students per year in Ontario alone.
One of Canada's leading young directors, Charles has also established a freelance career, directing productions for the World Stage Festival, Pleiades Theatre and several others. His production of Shakuntala which he translated, adapted and directed was invited to Vancouver as part of the Cultural Olympiad. Additionally, he currently has a TV series in development with Smith and Smith Productions.
In 2009, Charles cofounded the Delphi Project with David Galpern, a multi-platform media company that has films, TV shows, graphic novels, mobile apps, and video games in various stages of production and development.
Charles was the head of two university departments: York University's Devised Theatre Programme and the Toronto Film School's Film Directing Programme. Charles graduated from McGill University, has a MFA in Theatre Direction from York University, and is a fellow of Visva-Bharati University, India.
